Transportation Safety Supervisor Online Course

Building on the success of our Automotive Service Operations and the Dispatching & Transportation Programs. The Transportation Safety Supervisor Program is designed to prepare students for direct entry into the Transportation Industry. The training will be focused specifically on the National Safety Code and Risk Management along with the requirements transportation companies must adhere to on a continuous basis in order to stay within regulations of the National Safety Code and the US Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association. The successful student will be qualified to start employment as a Transportation Safety Supervisor.

There exists a large and growing demand for Transportation Safety roles in this industry due to recent increases in government regulation, while at the same time few schools offer specific programs related to transportation safety. Many trucking operations have additional stringent safety standards to minimize the potential of liability costs. There is a very real shortage of qualified professionals in this sector and employment prospects over the next five years are promising. Work is typically full-time for public government agencies or private transportation services.

A safe work environment benefits employee morale, productivity and company success. Safety Supervisors in the transportation industry ensure that Transportation Safety regulations are enforced for equipment, vehicles and transport employees by conducting tests, investigating incidents and observing work procedures. Since most positions are not as physically demanding as others in the transportation industry, employment as a Transportation Safety Supervisor may be ideal for those with mobility restrictions.

I chose ATC because it was a short 6 month course and I wanted to get the wheels of my career turning. 4 hours a day of in school, out in the market in 6 months: the main reasons why I chose ATC. It’s a short take and it let me be able to keep my daily routine. I recommend ATC for people that want to study in mechanic and that know the value of dollars. By going to private school, you have more chance to study with people like that: serious. If you can afford it, it’s definitely the way to go.
